After being laid off by Shell in Holland in 1985, John Wakefield arrives in the new world and takes charge of his own destiny by purchasing a crystal etching company called the "Crystal Carver" with a retail outlet in Plaza Palomino. The Crystal Carver has a revolutionary new method of "photo-etching" images on glass which appeals to John's split artistic/scientific personality.
1986-1988: Crystal Awards
Retail of crystal and glassware. Etched glass and crystal for elegant trophies and awards. Recognition, achievement, retirement, charity, promotions and premiums.
Business Philosophy: accept that we have been ripped-off by unscrupulous business broker and have paid far too much for a business with almost no sales. Resolve to hire good attorney and accountant for future transactions.
