Sliding glass window problem solved by Artistry in Glass

3/4" thick oak supports shower header

The solution: make glass overlay windows, hung on rollers like bypass sliding   shower doors.

Shower header (antique bronze finish) rests on oak  supports.   The oak has been  notched (left) to accept the header.  SGO windows can be slid aside to allow exterior window to be opened.

Eyebrow arch is fixed and installed separately. Careful measuring is  required to make sure the design lines up across the three panels.

The problem: Kathleen and Doug Cook presented Artistry in Glass with a challenge.  They wanted a bold design in art glass to give privacy to Doug's street-facing home office.  However,  they also wanted the freedom to open their sliding glass windows occasionally to enjoy Tucson's  balmy evening breezes.
